The Scrubs are a classic rock band made up of various doctors and professional rockers, fronted by Dr. Richard Garvey, who plays keyboards and vocals. Other members include an orthopedic surgeon, ophthalmologist and a family practitioner.

Richard Garvey, M.D. is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon / Reconstructive / Burn Surgeon in private practice in Bronxville and Manhattan. He is Chief Of Plastic Surgery at both Lawrence Hospital Center and Sound Shore Medical Center. He is also affiliated with the Jacobi Hospital Burn Center in the Bronx. The Scrubs perform a wide variety of cover songs and originals. They have been joined by a number of celebrity musicians at their shows including, Bumblefoot (Guns N' Roses), Arno Hect (Rolling Stones), Richie Scarlet, Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper Band), Anton Fig (David Letterman's Band), Leslie West (Mountain), Budgie Werner (The Ace Frehley Band & Snappahead), Mark Hitt of the Psychedelics, and Meredith Buono from Who's Your Daddy?

In 2007 Mayor Bloomberg commended The Scrubs for their fundraising and benefit work, after having performed w/ special guests at the Gramercy Theater in New York City on Friday, May 11th. The concert benefited the African Families who suffered tragic losses in the Bronx house fire that killed ten people in March of that year.
